Giving back did not begin with Coco's Chalky Powder™, and it did not begin with a grant application. For more than 25 years Coco has made service, generosity and creating opportunities for others part of the way she lives and builds businesses.
That personal commitment became part of the foundation of Coco's Chalky Powder™. Since 2018, proceeds from the product have helped support youth employment, mentorship, creative programs, back-to-school initiatives, holiday experiences and opportunities for Cleveland area children and families.
Today, Coco's Chalky Powder™ is building on that legacy by inviting foundation, corporate and community partners to invest alongside us. The funding model is expanding, but the commitment is not new.

From bold polka-dot corridors and theatrical masquerade scenes to dreamy European landscapes and surreal worlds, the spaces throughout Coco’s were created layer by layer, color by color.

When Coco’s founder Hikia “Coco” Dixon began transforming a former furniture restoration space into an immersive art experience, she needed a paint that could keep up with her ideas.

The Impact Continues
The impact did not end when the program ended.
Some young people who first came to Coco's through youth employment opportunities remained connected for years. One participant who began with Coco's in 2018 went on to become an Operations Manager. Others have continued working with Coco's while pursuing college, technology, maintenance, retail and other career paths.
